Claire tackles Total Warrior!

by | Oct 21, 2018

Claire Denby and friends battled through the mud and obstacles in Total Warrior 2018 held at Bramham Park in Leeds.

This time in aid of Mind and they raised over £200 for this very worthy charity. One in four people will be affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their lives. Around 450 million people currently suffer from such conditions, placing mental disorders among the leading causes of ill-health and disability worldwide.

To put that into perspective, each and every one of us will know somebody currently fighting a battle that we know nothing about. These people will more than likely be the ones with the biggest smiles and loudest laughs when in public. Yet, secretly they will be crippled by their own demons. The midnight panic attacks, the fear of leaving their own home and their constant self doubt and loathing. It could be triggered by bereavement, bullying, self-doubt or a whole host of other factors.

It could literally happen to any of us – without warning. Tragically, only 25% of people in England will have the courage to ask for help. Arkline is proud to sponsor Claire.
